Carpentry

Professional Carpentry
Although a DIY (do-it-yourselfer) can learn a lot from this course, it is mainly intended for professionals and apprentice carpenters.

Building Construction & Finishing
This is our premium, apprentice-level building/construction course.

Concrete/Masonry

Essentials of Masonry
This is a terrific introduction to bricks, concrete blocks, mortar, and the construction of wall structures.

Concrete Engineering (Launch in August, 2008)
Concrete is one of the most versatile, economical, and universally used construction material. It is among the few building materials produced directly on the job by the user.

Electrical

Survey of Electrical Construction
A study sequence intended to familiarize prospective electricians with a sense of the theory and practical skills required for a successful apprenticeship and career.

Installing Electrical Conduit Systems
This course is designed to teach the knowledge necessary to classify and size, cut and thread, and bend and install conduit and conductors.

Plumbing

Essentials of Plumbing
This is a complete introductory course to plumbing installation and repair.  It is intended for professional and apprentice plumbers, but a do-it-yourselfer can also learn a lot about home installation and repair.

Welding

Essentials of Welding
This welding course provides prospective tradesmen with an in-depth view of the theory, principles, methods, and techniques related to modern welding.

Most of these courses and special resources are intended for professionals and trade apprentices. A do-it-yourselfer (DYI) or weekend contractor might find some helpful information, but the content tends to be more intense and detailed than the typical "Home Depot hound" might need.
