Anatomy is loosely defined as the structure of a living organism, and physiology as the function of systems within the organism. In medical/allied-health courses, anatomy and physiology are often learned together. That is the case here. You will also find special references for a related topic that is vital for all health workers—medical terminology.

"Medical terminology is language that is used to accurately describe the human body and associated components, conditions, processes and procedures in a science-based manner. . It is to be used in the medical and nursing fields. Suffixes are attached to the end of a word root to add meaning such as condition, disease process, or procedure." ~Wikipedia

The anatomy and physiology resources offered in this department are prepared with medical and allied-health learners in mind.

  • Anatomy & Physiology (Level I)
This is a first-round presentation of A&P. It provides a lightweight introduction to all of the standard topics..
  • Anatomy & Physiology (Level II)
This is a second-round presentation of A & P. It covers all the usual topics at a depth suitable for career studies in medical assisting and EMT professions.
  • Anatomy & Physiology (Level III)
Yhis is a third-round presentation of the subject. It covers the chemistry of human physiology in more depth that the lower levels. The range and depth is appropriate for nursing aned pre-med studies.
  • Medical Terminology
This is an interactive treatment of the subject. The scope and level of presentation is appropriate for studies in medical assisting and the EMT professions.
  • Human Physiology
  • Human Anatomy
